PARKING INFORMATION
We come together on Sundays for worship that is shaped both by the ancient rhythms of the Christian church and the conviction that we gather in order to be with our God through the work of Jesus. This gathering is to encourage one another in love and good works (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Sunday School lasts about forty-five minutes.
The Morning Worship typically lasts about an hour and a half.
WHAT ARE OUR SERVICES FOR?
Our Sunday School has evolved since it began and will continue to do so. However, currently it consists of an in-depth lecture of a theological or philosophical topic derived out of God’s Word. This study appeals to all levels of background. Whether you are a pastor or you don’t know much about Christianity— if you are interested, then you are welcome! We are just a group of apprentices of Jesus striving to follow in Jesus’ footsteps, so that we might become like Him for the good of those around us.
WHAT IS SUNDAY SCHOOL LIKE?
WHAT IS THE MORNING WORSHIP LIKE?
Our Sunday gathering follows an order of service that the Church has followed for hundreds of years. The order of service is shaped by and centered on the good news of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. We began every service by a Call to Worship from scripture, which reminds us of who God is and all He’s done. We then enter a time of Prayer to both make us mindful of God’s very presence in the room and also to prepare our hearts for the coming time. This leads us to respond in worship through song. In light of God’s holiness, we become increasingly aware of our sin, which leads us to acknowledge our sins through a Confession of Sin. However, we are reminded of the Assurance of Pardon, as God’s promises from Scripture are read over those who have put their trust in Christ’s work on the cross in their place. Because of this joy, we enter back into song to worship the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Following this form of worship, the biblical passage for the Sermon is read over us. After the pastor acknowledges that “this is the Word of the Lord”, we corporately respond by saying, “Thanks be to God!” Through the sermon, the Word of God is then explained and taught to us. The Exposition of God’s Word culminates with a Hymn, where we corporately and openly worship God for both the insight and the conviction He has given us, through His word. Finally, we end each week with a Benediction or “sending,” where we are blessed and sent into our city as missionaries, reminded that God goes with us as we bear witness to His glory in our various ministry areas (vocations).
